At the end of June, our specialists started work on the modernization project of the Daugavpils branch of the fish processing plant "Latis", where the largest sauleskolektors.lv system in Latvia is being installed.
At the end of June, sauleskolektors.lv specialists started work on the modernization project of the Daugavpils branch of the fish processing plant "Latis".
The factory consumes an average of 6 tons of hot water daily for various household and production needs. The factory used to heat water with electric boilers and instantaneous heaters, which are no longer economical today. The money spent on electricity so far will soon be able to be diverted to other development goals.
After studying the situation and performing special computer simulations, as well as anticipating the factory development plans, an optimal engineering solution has been developed. 30 flat Thermo|Solar solar collectors are installed on the roofs of the factory in three separate sections. So far, the first 10 collectors have been installed, which will soon be joined by others. Work on the roof of the plant will soon be completed and will continue inside, where the water supply will be partially changed and insulated, as well as an automated solar heat storage and distribution system will be established.
In order to make the overall hot water system even more efficient, the use of heat from the production process, which is generated by operating fish freezers, is also being considered.
